K9ILS
Fulton County Amateur Radio Club
This was the first Winter Field Day that club K9ILS Fulton County Amateur Radio Club has participated in. We setup in a building at the local Boy Scout camp just outside of Canton IL. Youth Acres Camp has been around for over 60 years (http://www.youthacres.com/). Setup was Multi Indoor with 4 HF stations, 1 VHF station, generator and 4 laptops with N1MM computer logging. Another first for the club is electronic logging during field day. After setting up we had a bit of trouble with computers networking. Got that problem solved the club stopped for a quick bite for lunch. In the afternoon we had local scout troop of 13 kids stopped in and made a few contacts. We tried some different antenna that normally we don’t use in the June FD. All in all a productive day we made 113 contacts on 5 different bands for a total of 565 plus a bonus of 2000.
